Day 1 - Destination: Negombo = Drive: Approximately 1/2 Hour (15 km)

Upon arrival in Sri Lanka, one of our representatives will meet with you and assist you to your own personal chauffeur who will take you to Colombo, the commercial capital of the country. Upon check in at your hotel, you are able to rest, relax and recover from any jet lag. If you have some extra time on your hands, you may also be able to undertake a city tour of Negombo with your personal chauffeur.

Day 2 - Destination: Sigiriya = Drive: Approximately 4 ½ Hours (173 km)

After breakfast and head for the fortress of Sigiriya. This is the creation of King Kashyapa who reigned around 5th century. Once you have crossed the moat protecting the ancient city complex, you will see the gardens and ponds which provide serene picturesque surroundings to the rock fortress. Sigirya is a prime example of the ingenuity of those who came before us. Even today, scientists and engineers are amazed at how Sigiriya was created. For those with more aesthetic taste, Sigiriya delivers in this aspect too. The Sigiri Apsaras (the nymphs of Sigirya) are a must see and draws thousands of visitors to the iconic destination. The writings on the Ketapath Pawura (Mirror wall), evidence the range of feelings that previous visitors over the centuries have felt on their visits here.

Destination: Dambulla Drive: Approximately 1 an Hour (25 km)

Another world heritage site, Dambulla cave temple, is the largest existing cave temple built on a 600 feet high rock.. The ancient marvels within the temple are sure to be awe-inspiring. There are approximately 80 documented locations of other caves in the area, indicating that caves were used as a prehistoric dwelling place before the arrival of Buddhism to the country.

Day 3 - Destination: Trincomalee = Drive: Approximately ½ an hour (15 km)

Your next destination is Trincomalee, a town with a natural harbour basking on the east coast of the island nation. It will be an early morning start, so that you can make the most of your time in Trinco as the locals call it. You will be able to undertake favourite water activities such as swimming, wind surfing, scuba diving, fishing and whale watching. For those who wish to do some more exploring, you are able to visit the Thirukoneswaram Temple or the Southern Kailasam built by sage Agastiyar under the instructions of Lord Shiva.

Day 4 - Destination : Polonnaruwa | Approximately 1 ½ Hours (67 km)

Next, visit the second capital of the island nation, Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa served as Sri Lankas capital in the 11th century and has been declared as a UNESCO world heritage site for the ancient ruins scattered throughout the area.

Destination: Kandy Drive: Approximately 3 Hours (140 km)

After making a stop at a spice and herb garden in Matale, you will make your way to Kandy. Kandy is another world heritage site travelled by many travellers for its beauty, legacy and cultural importance in Sri Lanka. The sacred tooth relic of Buddha, Peradeniya botanical garden, the lake amidst the city is just few of the attractions found around Kandy. The evening is arranged to visit the temple of tooth relic or the Dalada Maligawa, a place of pilgrim for many locals. Then you will visit the Kandyan Arts and Cultural Center where you will sample Sri Lankas traditional dance and music.

Day 5 - Destination: Gurulupotha = Drive: Approximately 2 Hours (80km)

After breakfast head for Gurulupotha. In ancient times, Gurulupotha was said to be the aircraft repairing centre for King Rawana. It is said that King Rawana had an aircraft called dandu monara (according to the epic- Ramayana written by Valmiki) that he used when he kidnapped the Princess Sitha from her husband King Rama. Another place of interest may be Sitakotuwa, oneof the places where King Rawana is said to have hidden Queen Seetha. When you view the surroundings of Seetakotuwa i.e. the cascading waterfalls, the spectacular flowers on display and the giant trees hiding it from view, you will think that Seetakotuwa would have been an ideal choice to hide a Queen.

Destination: Weragantota Drive: Approximately 15min (6km)

Afterwards you will visit Weraganthota, where it is said that the aircraft of King Rawana landed. The entire area is stretched with red soil and shrubby lands, again making it an ideal place to land an aircraft.

Day 6 - Destination: Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage = Drive: Approximately 1 ½ Hours (50km)

Experience a very rare opportunity to visit an Elephant orphanage located in Pinnawela. The orphanage was established to treat and care for orphaned baby elephants and has now expanded to care for elephant patriarchs and adult wild elephants that need some extra love, care and protection.

Destination: Ramboda Drive: Approximately 3 Hours(100 km)

Next destination is for the Sri Bakta Hanuman Devala at Ramboda village. The enormous shrine dedicated for the God Hanuman is a must visi! A 16 feet image of Lord Hanuma is worshipped and offered with special poojas by many worshippers that visit the temple daily.

Day 7 - Destination: Ramboda = Drive: N/A

You will spend the day at Ramboda, situated in idyllic surroundings in the hill country of Sri Lanka. As legend has it, the pond which never dries out was created by the tears of Queen Sita as she mourned for her husband. It is through Ramboda that King Rawana is said to have taken Queen Sita to from his capital Lankapura to Asoka Vatika.

Day 8 - Destination: Nuwara Eliya = Drive: Approximately 30mins (20km)

Experience a whole new climatic and cultural change with a visit to Nuwra Eliya. The cooler climate has proven to be a good environment to grow one of Sri Lankas exports, tea. You will have a chance to visit a tea estate and tea centre. Before the end of the day you will also stop at a rock called Manikattutheru. Here it is believed to be the Rock where the warrier Hanuman rested on his mission to inform Sita Devi that she should not fear as her beloved Rama will rescue her. In honour of this, here now lies an open temple with statues dedicated to Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman.

Day 9 - estination: Gavagala = Drive: Approximately 1 Hour (20km)

You will now visit Gavagala (Ghoshala) where King Rawana had a dairy farm from where milk was transported to his capital of Lankapura every day.

Destination: Seeta Amman Kovil Drive: Approximately 1 Hour (27km)

Your next destination will be the Seeta Amman Kovil sacrificed for Lord Rama, Seeta, Lakshmana and Hanuman. The river besides the temple is believed to be the bathing place of Queen Sita. You will find both large and small foot prints of Hanuman embedded into the rock as it is said that Hanuma had a special power where he could transform himself to any size.

Destination: Divrumpola Temple Drive: Approximately 1 an Hour (45km)

Thereafter visit the Divrumpola Temple in Keppetipola village. The temple dates back to the Pollonnaruwa kingdom. Rumors reveal that Queen Sita performed her Agni Parishka (proved her celibacy) to her loving husband Rama at this place. Hence the name Divurumpola which means the place where a promise is made.

Destination: Istripura Temple Drive: Approximately 1 an Hour (30km)

The final travelling destination of the day will be the Istripura Temple. After becoming aware that the monkey warrier, Hanuman had arrived in Sri lanka, King Rawana immediately changed the dwelling place of Queen Seetha and increased security.

Day 10 - Destination: Ella = Drive: N/A

Enjoy your breakfast and head for the Rawana cave in Ella. The Ramayana tale is directly tied with Ella. King Rawana hid Queen Sita in various places such as the caves found at the top of the Rawana Ella falls and within the Ella rock boulder. You will find the tunnels used by the king to travel through the hills and rocks in case of emergency. It is said that these tunnels were fully linked with his palace, airport, dairy farm and important cities, so he could travel unnoticed. Amongst the midst, you will be able to see many rock pools where it is said that Queen Sita bathed.

Day 11 - Destination: Negombo = Drive: N/A

Enjoy your breakfast and head for the Rawana cave in Ella. The Ramayana tale is directly tied with Ella. King Rawana hid Queen Sita in various places such as the caves found at the top of the Rawana Ella falls and within the Ella rock boulder. You will find the tunnels used by the king to travel through the hills and rocks in case of emergency. Day 12 - Destination: Munneswaram = Drive: Approximately 1 Hour (45km)

Get ready to leave for Munneshwaram early in the morning. The temple is a place of worship for Lord Shiva in memory of the battle between Rama and Rawana. Prince Rama believed that he was blessed by the immense power of Lord Shiva because he killed Rawana. Due to the assistance He provided Prince Rama, Rama was ordered to build four lingamas at Manavari, Thirukoneswaram, Thiruketheeswaram and Ramalingashivan by Lord Shiva.

Destination: Manawari Temple Drive: Approximately 30min (20km)

Your next destination will be Manawari Temple. It is regarded as the first lingam installed by Lord Rama so called as Ramalingashivan.

Day 13 - Destination: Airport = Drive: Approximately 15min (10km)

Now that you are at the end of your journey with us, after breakfast you will depart for the airport in your chauffeur driven vehicle.

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancelled 30 days or more prior to arrival,No charge : any payments made prior to this date will be reimbursed (less any bank charges)
  • If cancelled between14 to 29 days (inclusive) prior to arrival : 30% of the total booking value will be charged
  • If cancelled between 7 to 14 days prior to arrival : 75% of the total booking value will be charged
  • If cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival : 100% of the total booking value will be charged.
